Roadworks Update
THIS PAGE IS UPDATED ALMOST EVERY DAY WITH DETAILS OF ROADWORKS IN SUTTON SOUTH WARD.
This is a picture of the bridge carrying Ventnor Road over the railway. On 14 April 2012 the road was closed for work to be undertaken to strengthen the bridge, which is suffering cracking at one end. The repair will now be monitored to see if further work is needed.
The following roadworks have been notified to us as about to start in Sutton South Ward. Roadworks notified by Sutton and East Surrey Water PLC are usually the installation of water meters. This often involves digging up the pavement but there is usually no disruption to traffic using the road. Those listed as having a minimal impact on journey time are minor works that will not involve closure of the road. The notifications (listed after the important advance notice) are in date order but there is not a notification every day.
IMPORTANT ADVANCE NOTICE:
In the period from 18 to 30 May, the following roads will be affected by temporary traffic management orders to allow gully cleaning. There will be no waiting restrictions in the roads and disabled parking bays will be out of use. Three days notice will be given.
